Taylor Goodley had a huge night for the Eldorado girls' basketball team, scoring 20 points and leading three other players in double figures as the Eagles stormed past Galatia 76-25.
Paige Zertuche put up 19 points, while Ashton Unthank and Erica Graczyk each had 12 points.
Eldorado shot 47 percent from the field (52 percent on 2-point field goals), leading head coach Josh Bradley to compliment his team's performance.
"We came out tonight and shot the ball really well," Bradley said. "We boxed out and rebounded well, which allowed us to run the break and get some good looks at the bucket. Everybody was ready to shoot when the ball got passed their way and because they were ready we knocked most of them down."
Eldorado opened up with a 21-5 first quarter lead and led 42-9 at halftime. Eldorado would go on to outscore Galatia 17-2 in the third period.
As for Goodley's performance, Bradley said her, along with Unthank just kept knocking down looks. However, overall, it was a good confidence-boosting night for a lot of girls.
"It was really nice to see Zertuche come out of a little early season shooting slump tonight scoring 19, it was big for her confidence and our team going in to the second half of the season. Graczyk added 12 points for us and was really aggressive on the offensive boards. Again, it was really nice to see our kids come focused on the task at hand and pick up our 10th win."
The Eldorado junior varsity team knocked off Galatia 52-10 Thursday night and improved to 9-0 on the season.
Brittany Peavler scored a team-high 14 points, while Lacy Jo Bradley knocked in nine points. Abby Steed and Dresdyn Bramlett each added eight points. Riley Duckworth tacked on five points, while Caitlyn Stafford and Jacquelyn Artman each finished with four points.
