Dorothy Jean “Dottie” Hill, 76, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Eldorado, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at the Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif., after complications following unexpected surgery.
Dottie was born in Eldorado on June 27, 1936, to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Elder) Adams. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a home maker and previously owned “The Denim Den” in downtown Eldorado.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. James E. Hill (Retired, USAF) who resides in San Diego. Also surviving are her two children, Jana J. Youssef of San Diego and J. Jason (Carla) Hill of San Diego. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Cameron and Jordan Youssef and Lucas and Kyle Hill.
She was preceded in death by her brother William “Bill” Adams.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. Dan Masters will officiate and burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Watson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and can be left at the funeral home.
