  • Eldorado loses in last seconds to rival Hamilton County

  • Andrew Drone scored a game-high 25 points, while teammate Daine Hish tacked on 14 points to lead Gallatin County to a 60-31 win over Carmi-White County on the road Saturday night.
    The Hawks struggled out of the gate, leading CWC 15-10 after one quarter, but pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldog 12-8 to take a 27-18 lead at halftime.
    Patrick Lowe also finished in double figures for Gallatin County, dropping 12 points, while Anthony Storto scored five points.
    Mitchell Ramsey and Wes McGuire each had two points for Gallatin County.
    Hamilton County 60, Eldorado 57
    The Eldorado High School boys’ basketball team fell to Hamilton County 60-57 Saturday night on the road.
    With 1.3 seconds remaining, Eldorado’s Tyler Deaton fouled out on a charging call with Hamilton County up 58-57.
    Following the call, the EHS bench was issued a pair of technical fouls, sending Hamilton County’s Nathan Anselement to the line where he hit two-of-four for the three-point win.
    Deaton led Eldorado with 26 points in the game, while Joel Boulds tacked on 11 points.
    Dylan Lawrence scored nine poins and Justin Wiseman tossed in five points, while Brennan Street finished with four points. Richard Graceffa put in two points in the loss for the Eagles.
