Deldia Rae Watkins, 82, Harrisburg, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills.
Deldia was born on Nov. 18, 1930, in Saline County, the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Jarrells) Lane. She married Leo Mac Watkins on August 20, 1949, and he survives in Harrisburg. She was a former member of Ingram Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband Leo, Deldia is survived by son; Jeff Watkins and wife Linda, Harrisburg; grandchildren, Cassandra and Alex Watkins, Harrisburg; brother, Benny Lane, Alton; sister, Retha Kohl and husband Bob, St. Charles, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three infant brothers, and brothers, Cloyde and Glendle Lane.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel, Harrisburg. The Rev. Leroy Hicks will officiate and burial will follow in Pierson Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
