Manhunt ends peacefully

A manhunt for two persons of interest in a shooting in Johnson County has ended peacefully. Late Wednesday, Dec. 5, John L. Cunningham, 41, and his wife, Janet S. Cunningham, 43, were taken into custody without incident by Kentucky State Police and U.S. Marshals near Madisonville, Ky. The two were thought to be armed and dangerous and had alerted all of Southern Illinois to be on the lookout for the pair.
