David L. Seets, 69, resident of Junction, passed away at 1:52 pm Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his residence.
David was born March 9, 1943, in Harrisburg, to the late F. Marion and L. Blanch (Ford) Seets. He married Lynette J. (Pufahl) Seets, who survives. David served in the US Army during the Korean War and the Dominican Republic Conflict. He was employed by Kerr McGee as a ram car driver prior to retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing after his retirement.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Brian (Dawn) Seets of Kingsport, Tenn.; three daughters, Michelle (Quinten Chapman) Denbo of Largo, Fla., Heather (Bob Scola) Seets, Hudson, Fla., Tonya (Gary) Potts of Eldorado; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Caitland Williams, Morgan Potts, Hannah Potts, all of Eldorado; Rowan Seets, Abby Seets, Ethan Seets, Eli Seets all of Kingsport, TN, great grandchildren, Aiden and Zayne Boulds, Ashland Hammond, Rodie Williams, all of Eldorado.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Thomas; four brothers, Marvin, Jim, R. Dale, Charles; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Thomas; granddaughter, Lindsey Williams; and a great-grandson, Keaton Boulds.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 30, 2012, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Baker officiating. Burial will be in Dodd Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
