The Harrisburg girls' bowling team opened their season with a fourth place finish at the Kahok Invitational on Saturday in Collinsville.
O'Fallon was the winner of the Invite, with Belleville East finishing runner up and host Collinsville placing third.
Amanda Stricklin paced the Bulldogs with a 1202 series for the six games, a 200 average. Stricklin placed fifth individually for the day. Rebekah Tolley and Rebecca Stricklin added a 1019 to compliment Amanda.
"We have some lofty expectations for this group of girls and they didn't disappoint on Saturday," head coach Doug Cottom said. "As most coaches can say after an event we left a lot on the table, however our spare game was definitely below par so we need to work on that. Amanda was outstanding all day; she was actually was leading the tournament with one game to go and just couldn't finish it off."
