Hubert D. Bradley, 87, of Raleigh passed away 12:36 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was born in Raleigh to Ernest and Mallie (Karnes) Bradley on Jan. 30, 1925. He was married to Betty L. (Downey) Bradley on April 5, 1953, and she survives. He was a life long resident of Raleigh. He was also a member of the Mason Lodge No.128 for over 35 years. He selflessly served the Lord and was devoted to helping people. He was a minister for 60 years and served at Mt Pleasant Social Brethren Church for 18 years. He was a mechanic for 40 years and loved restoring old cars and tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Rick (Debra) Bradley and Ron (Carla) Bradley; one brother, Harold Bradley; one sister, Bonnie Phelps; four grandchildren, Lacy Jo Bradley, Blake Bradley, Brooke Englehart and Brittney Englehart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lorene Davis, Cathryn Rapp, Opal Mings, June Villines, Dorothy Farthing, Chick Bradley, Webb Bradley, Jim Bradley, Ernest (Mutt) Bradley, Ralph Bradley and Wendell Bradley.
Visitation was 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia.
Funeral was be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church in Raleigh with the Rev. Blake Bradley, the Rev. Mark Finney, and the Rev. Bill Jones officiating.
Interment is at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery in Raleigh.
