Behind a 26-point performance behind Lindsey Murray, the Harrisburg High School girls' basketball team rolled to a 70-40 win over Pope County to kick off the season Tuesday night at Davenport Gymnasium.
Harrisburg drained 10 3-pointers on the night, with Murray finished with five and Alexa Burtis having four off the bench of the Bulldogs.
Murray led the Bulldogs in every category, including seven rebounds, five steals and five assist, while not missing a shot from the field against the Pirates.
Ashley Ferrell came away with 12 points, while Burtis finished with a dozen as well.
Devan Jones had eight, while Shelby Boer tacked on six. Kelsey Hobbs finished with four and Malayna Douglas had two points.
Harrisburg returns to action Monday night when they will host Carmi-White County in the Harrisburg Invitational at Davenport Gym at 7:30 p.m.
