Eldorado and Harrisburg will both be honoring those who served with 11 a.m. ceremonies on Veterans Day Sunday.
Harrisburg’s ceremonies are scheduled at the George Hart American Legion Post 167, 600 E. Logan St.
The Legion invites the public to hear veteran Willie McCluskey speak.
Eldorado’s American Legion and VFW Color Guard are scheduled to assemble at 10:30 a.m. in front of the American Legion for the march up Locust Street to the Old City Hall Veterans Memorial.
Eldorado’s program starts at 11 a.m. with Jerry Cain introducing the events.
The Rev. Russell Helton will say the invocation. As the flag is raised Madeline and Lydia Rodgers will sing the National Anthem.
The American Legion Commander, VFW Commander, American Legion Auxiliary President, VFW Auxiliary President, Sons of the American Legion members, VFW Mens Auxiliary member and Samuel Elder Daughters of the American Revolution will place wreaths.
Joe Woroszylo will play “Taps” and Korean War Veteran Chuck Hankins will give the Veterans Day address.
Helton will say the benediction and all are invited to the American Legion for lunch.
In Galatia Historical Society will be observing the day at the Veterans Memorial at 2 p.m. Sunday.
