James Farkas, 94, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Rosiclare.
He was born to the late John and Rose (Feges) Farkas on Nov. 21, 1917. On Aug. 15, 1936, he married the former Pauline Barton who preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 1993. He was an veteran of World War II in the Navy and served in the Pacific as a Chief Petty Officer. He was co-owner at Barton’s Auto in Eldorado until retirement in 1998.
He is survived by a son Dr. Robert (Jeanie Butler) Farkas of Sedalia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Tony (Alecia) Farkas, Karen Farkas, and Lesley Farkas; five great-grandchildren, Julianna, Amelia, Anthony, Alaina and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his stepfather John Namath.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
