  • The Harrisburg girls' cross country team took first place at the Hamilton County Invitational Tuesday, finishing with 47 points, beating out West Frankfort (74), Hamilton County (74), Nashville (90) and Pope County (169).
    Individually, Taylor McDaniel placed second overall with a time of 20:18, while Ashley Cain was ninth with a time of 21:31. Miranda Elders was 10th overall with a time of 21:42 and Tiffanie Milligan was 12th with a time of 22:32. Hannah Henshaw finished 14th overall with a time of 21:31, while Kaylee Workman was 25th with a time of 25:33 and Skylar Edmister finished 37th with a time of 29:18.
    On the boys' side, Zackary Clarida was 37th overall with a time of 22:08, while Tyler Sullivan was 39th with a time of 23:25.
    Earlier in the month, McDaniel finished sixth at at meet, finishing in a time of 20:20, while Cain was 16th with a time of 22:43. Milligan placed 17th with a time of 22:45, while Elders was 19th in a time of 23:25. Henshaw was 26th with a time of 25:19 and Workman finished in a time of 27:38 to finish 36th. Edmister was 41st, finishing in a time of 29:38.
    On the boys' side, Tyler Lawrence was 33rd with a time of 20:05, while Sullivan finished 46th in a time of 21:46. Clarida was 59th with a time of 23:29 and Darrius Spencer finished in a time of 26:50 for 68th place. Other finishes and times included, Derrick Hawkins (70th, 29:00), Dylan Ragsdale (71st, 31:06), and Jimmy O'Hara (72nd, 31:05).
