Anna Marie Williams, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:23 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in Saline Care Center.
She was born May 20, 1924, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Edward and Dora (Rude) Newton. She married Homer “Blue” Williams on Dec. 4, 1942, and he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1989.
Anna was a homemaker, member of Home Extension, a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church and their Senior Choir.
Anna is survived by two daughters, Lana and husband Pete Smith of Harrisburg and Carolyn Fullington of Wentzville, Mo.; a son, Richard (Kim) Williams of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, Laurie (Bruce) Barchet, Brooke (Brent) Lewis, Rick Fullington, Scott (Christin) Fullington, Kim (Tim) Tallent, Kathy (Brian) Winningham, Christie (Gregg) Wooten, Melissa (Dave) Venegoni; great-grandchildren, Jocelyne Barchet, Jack Barchet, Kyle Fullington, Brittany Fullington, Kayla Fullington, Olivia Tallent, Courtney Winningham, Christian Winningham, Brooke Winningham, Andrew Wooten, Nicholas Wooten, Brandon Wooten and Dominic Venegoni.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Millie Pence; four brothers, Virgil, Earl, Bertis and Kenneth Newton; and a sister-in-law Mary Jones.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday Oct. 11, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Roger Lipe officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Reed Funeral Chapel.
