HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg volleyball team lost in three games to Hamilton County Monday night at Davenport Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs won the second game 25-18, but lost game one, 25-19 and game three 25-14.
"We came out and played a first great set. We received the ball well and set up our hitters. Everyone moved, stayed low, and did their jobs to gain the win. It was an exciting set to watch against a good team," head coach Stephanie Ferrell said.
"We lost our momentum in the second and third sets and had trouble finding it again. Both McKenna Stanley and Kaitlyn Hutchison had good hitting games combining for 18 kills."
Stanley had 27 spikes, 11 kills, seven blocks, two stuff, 11 service points and three service aces.
Hutchison finished with 20 spikes and seven kills, while Shelby Boer went 12-of-18 on spikes and had two kills and four blocks. Whitney Younger had 10 spikes.
Brittany Reynolds had 56 sets and 10 assists, while Marcella Motsinger had 59 sets, 12 assists and nine service points.
Ashley Ferrell had 46 digs, 10 assists and 10 service points. Jordan Stewart finished with 12 digs, six assists and 15 service points with three aces. Malayna Douglas had 15 digs, three assists and eight service points.
In the junior varsity match, Harrisburg lost 26-24 and 25-20.
