Shirley D. Adams, 86, of 209 Trammel Street, Carrier Mills, died 10:56 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.
The family has requested that services be private. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
She was born March 3, 1926, in Saline County to the late James "Butch" Wiseman and Mamie Daisy Holmes.
She married Clarence Adams May 1, 1943.
She was a member of Antioch Church in Stonefort. She also had attended Providence Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years with fond memories.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Adams of Carrier Mills; a daughter, Debbie (Jim) Carrigan of Carrier Mills; a son, David (Kathy) Adams of Sparta; daughter-in-law, Dee Adams of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Tina Smith, Julie Adams, Billy (Thea) Adams, Natalie Futrell, Brittany (Darrell) Wix and Misty (Jeremy) Fulkerson; 11 great-grandchildren, Keysha (Chad) Bates, Jayden Ditterline, Luke Wix, Evelyn Marie Futrell, Lexee Fulkerson, Hayden Fulkerson, Ryli Fulkerson, Phoebe Adams, Abby Adams, Samuel Adams and Olivia Adams; five great-great-grandchildren, Lydia Bates, Audrey Bates, Brielle Ditterline, Mackenzie Sisson and Trace Sisson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Adams and a daughter, Becky Adams.
