The Bridge Medical Clinic is hosting a mini golf fundraiser at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Bridge Medical Clinic Board Member Gloria Tison said this is the only fundraiser the clinic has held this year, so it is important for people to get involved.
The Bridge Medical Clinic was founded in 2000 to provide free medical care to uninsured working people in Gallatin and Saline Counties.
"In our community, we have a number of people who fall through the cracks," Tison said. "The clinic provides them with free medical care."
Dr. Larry Jones is the medical director. All personnel with the exception of the office manager are volunteers. The clinic relies on donations, grants and fundraisers for its operating budget.
"All of our funds come from private grants or fundraising," Tison said.
Teams of four will travel to nine businesses to play holes created by local businesses. The nine holes will be at Shawnee Hills Country Club, Raymond James Financial Services, SIC Foundation Center, The Elks, Clearwave Communications, Harrisburg Medical Center, Eubanks & Daugherty Optometry, Tri State Business and Morello's Pizza and Grill.
The cost is $200 per team. There is a 10th hole party at Morello's Pizza and Grill after the tournament. The party starts at 7 p.m.
People who are unable to play can attend the party for $25. There will be food, fun and a silent auction. For reservations please call 294-8330.
