  • Heat kept the crowds small at the first ever Karaoke Contest on the Saline County Fair’s opening night Monday.



    The talent was good, but the conditions were a swelter.


    Winners in the three divisions of age groupings were Mason Ramsey, 5, Golconda, first in Division I; Ashley Goematt, 16, Harrisburg, first in Division II and Kaelin Weatherly, 13, Herod in second place; Devin Hankins, first in Division III and Aaron Smith in second place.
