Big talent, small crowd

Heat kept the crowds small at the first ever Karaoke Contest on the Saline County Fair’s opening night Monday.

The talent was good, but the conditions were a swelter.

Winners in the three divisions of age groupings were Mason Ramsey, 5, Golconda, first in Division I; Ashley Goematt, 16, Harrisburg, first in Division II and Kaelin Weatherly, 13, Herod in second place; Devin Hankins, first in Division III and Aaron Smith in second place.
