Harrisburg Police make weekend drug arrests

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Harrisburg Police made several drug-related arrests over the weekend.

The first happened Friday night when Assistant Chief David Morris and Officer Whipper Johnson were parked at Farm Fresh parking lot at about 9:45 p.m. and spotted Remus O. Henning, 34, 335 Ingram St., Harrisburg, walking into the store.

Morris knew there was a valid arrest warrant for Henning and stopped him to make the arrest, according to Chief Bob Smith.

In searching Henning as part of the arrest Morris found suspected drugs and Henning told Morris he had a pistol in his front pocket, Smith said.

Morris arrested Henning on charges of failure to appear, unlawful possession of weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of cannabis, possession of controlled substance and possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver. He posted $3,025 cash bond.

Morris stopped Deondraye R. Jackson, 23, 3 N. Granger St., Harrisburg, 7:55 p.m. July 21 in traffic which led to a drug investigation and the execution of a search warrant in Jackson's residence, Smith said. There officers found suspected drugs and firearms.

Morris arrested Jackson on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, violation of probation, no Firearm Owner's Identification Card, possession of controlled substance, no valid driver's license, unlawful possession of ammunition and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. He was being held at the Saline County Detention Center on $5,500 cash bond.

Police also arrested Kirk Wesley Williams, 33, rural Route 1 Box 172, Elizabethtown, 3 p.m. July 21 on charges of violation of probation, unlawful use of intoxicating compound, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a narcotic. He was held at the Saline County Detention Center on $2,000 cash bond.

Police did not have details on Williams' arrest Monday morning.
