Eddie was born in Harrisburg Dec. 31, 1980, to Mona L. (Hardin) Casteel and the late Eddie Hardin Sr.

Surviving family members include his son, Cameron W. Hardin of Harrisburg; mother, Mona L. Casteel of Harrisburg; grandmother, Frances Hardin of Harrisburg; stepfather, Harold Casteel of Harrisburg; two sisters, Jessica Hardin of Eldorado and Jacqueline Jordan and husband Jason of Harrisburg; brother Elvis Hardin of Marion; stepbrothers, Jason Casteel and wife Jenn of Harrisburg, Jared Casteel of Harrisburg and Justin Casteel of Marion; stepsister Jennifer Casteel of Harrisburg; aunt, Rebecca Oxford and husband Richard of Harrisburg; uncles, Marvin Hardin of Harrisburg and Mark Hardin of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Hardin Sr., and grandfather Edward Hardin.
