Obituary: Dorothy M. Elder

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dorothy M. Elder, 90, Eldorado, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at her residence.

She was born in Brushy on June 18, 1921, to the late Justin and Minnie (Upton) Reynolds. On Oct. 28, 1942, she married John Emil Elder in Harrisburg and he preceded her in death in February 1975.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Methodist Memorial Committee and Friends of the Library.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Walker of Dallas, Texas, and Emily Elder Ray of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Sibyl Davis of Galatia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul U. Reynolds of Harrisburg and Richard D. Reynolds of Henry; and a sister, Leah Riegel of Harrisburg.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
