Vantrease said a third charge had been added in the April 12 robbery of her grandparents, James and Barbara Blacklock of Mulkeytown.

Jennifer M. Blacklock, 18, of Sesser appeared in court with her attorney, Aaron Hopkins.

Franklin County State's Attorney Tom Dinn requested another charge of residential burglary be added and the first charge dismissed.

Vantrease read the charges, stating that an unidentified black male and a white male entered the home of James and Barbara Blacklock with the intent to rob the couple. He said James Blacklock's wallet containing $190 was taken from him as a struggle ensued.

The judge said a friend of Jennifer Blacklock told investigators that Mr. Blacklock's wallet had been burned and the money divided between Jennifer Blacklock and her boyfriend, identified as Jacob M. Bohannon, 17, of Sesser.

Vantrease said James Blacklock was struck several times in the head and face during the robbery.

The other suspect, Antonio J. Smith, 18, of Mt. Vernon, and Bohannon were later arrested in connection with the April 26 throat-slashing of Susan Zettler of Sesser. Both teens are also charged with home invasion in the April 26 incident.

The two have been charged with bodily injury and robbery during the April 12 invasion of James and Barbara Blacklock's residence.

Vantrease said the money was later spent at the West City-Benton Wal-Mart SuperCenter.

Capt. Don Jones of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department said Jennifer Blacklock had no involvement in the attempted murder and home invasion that occurred April 26.

A sentencing date of Oct. 18 has been set.

Vantrease said Blacklock faces four years behind bars and would be required to pay the maximum fine of $25,000.
