Texas author to sign book in Old Shawneetown

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William Hayes, author of the book "Dreams are Forever," will be signing his book in his native Old Shawneetown on Mother's Day.

Hayes, who now lives in Texas, is visiting the area for a series of signings at libraries and plans on setting up a booth in front of the historic Shawneetown Bank near the river at Old Shawneetown.

Hayes will be set up between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday eager to sign books and reminisce about his home town.

"Dreams are Forever" is a mystery novel set in the 1950s in Old Shawneetown, about the time when Hayes was growing up there.

The plot involves a young man and his friends who discover the remains of a body in a coffin and pursue a theory it relates to goings on at the Old Slave House.
