Veteran Eldorado City Clerk Pat Mahoney resigns; last working day is Friday.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eldorado will have a new city clerk and new city treasurer effective 4:01 p.m. Friday. Longtime Eldorado City Clerk Pat Mahoney on Tuesday submitted her resignation from the post, effective 4 p.m. Friday.

Mahoney, who has served the city for 38 years, had been working toward her retirement and council recently put into place measures that will guarantee she will be available to the city on a consulting basis.

Current City Treasurer Stacy James has been selected as successor to Mahoney.

Pandora Minor, wife of Police and Fire Commissioner Jeff Minor, was appointed by the council as the new city treasurer.

Commissioner Keith Bean, who as been campaigning for strengthening of city rules on nepotism, voted against both appointments.

Jeff Minor abstained from the vote on the appointment of his wife.

Following the meeting, Stacy James issued a communitywide invitation for residents to stop at City Hall anytime Friday to visit with, and say farewell to, Mahoney.
